KeyNotes Storytellers

KeyNotes Storytellers class is for beginners ages 6+. The learning aims are much like Little KeyNotes, but the pieces have more depth. They are also theme-based like the Little KeyNotes classes.

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears introduces the notes of the keyboard, basic rhythms and the concept of pitch, through the parts of the story. 

Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack and the Beanstalk introduces many concepts such as scales and trills, and has a focus on dynamics and dynamic markings.

The Gingerbread Man

The Gingerbread Man offers a great opportunity to discuss texture, as all the pieces of the story can be played together, building the texture as new characters join the chase!

Tortoise and the Hare

The Tortoise and the Hare has a focus on tempo, with the tortoise being very slow and the hare being very fast! Students will learn the Italian terms for different tempos through their story-telling.
